ShareMexico’s Ximena Navarrete, the 2010 Miss Universe, said she feels right at home during her visit to India, where she is taking in the local customs and enjoying the country’s rich cultural diversity.
“India and Mexico are both multi-cultural nations so I don’t feel far from home being here,” the beauty queen, dressed in blue jeans and a black top, told India’s IANS news agency Thursday during a visit to the Surajkund Crafts Mela (Fair) in the northern Haryana region.
The 22-year-old Mexican beauty got a henna tattoo on her hands and tried dancing to the folk artistes at the fair.She is currently on a 10-day tour to India. The second Mexican Miss Universe ever, Navarrete who is the global ambassador to promote awareness about HIV has dedicated her Indian tour to raise awareness about female foeticide.
