Payal Jain showcased her new Autumn Winter 2010 collection ‘Vintage Rouge’ on 04th December 2010. At the Poolside lawns, of Hyatt Regency Delhi.The soul of the collection was an old world, sensual, feminine and vintage feel. The silhouettes were immaculately draped and sensually sculpted to enhance the feminine forms which liberally and mysteriously peppered with accents of contrasting colors as well as intricate embellishments.
The fabrics ranged from raw linens to jacquard silks, flowing satins, lustrous silk velvets, rich hand woven brocades to delicately woven elaborate laces. The color palette was a wide and varied. The silhouettes were strongly inspired by the romantic, luxurious and extravagant costumes of the 50's and they recreated the times when women dressed to look and feel beautiful . Pinched corset waists, voluminous skirts, low waistlines, exaggerated bust lines, plunging neck lines, great full skirts that swirled and sashayed, flowing dresses were seen .There was intricate detailing , delicate lace appliqué , roses, crystals, elaborate cutwork and immaculate draping was seen.
This collection was a true celebration of the uninhibited spirit of romance, passion and love in its Vintage charm and glory!!
